stejjer li kibru fl-art
stories growing on the ground
Stejjer li Kibru fl-Art is Immanuel Mifsud's first collection of stories for children.
Originally a personal present to a close friend's daughter, these stories have been published by Klabb Kotba Maltin (KKM) in November 2004. The short stories are written in prose-poem form.
Among the characters whose stories are recounted one finds the girl who went living on the moon; the muted piano; the ballerina dancing on top of a birthday cake; the love-sick butterfly and Pietru the rabbit who had to flee and hide among the flowers because he refused to conform.
The stories were written during the author's short stay in Todtmoos, a village in the Black Forest region, Germany, in 1999.
Stejjer li Kibru Fl-Art is magnificently illustrated by Greta Borg Carbot.
