Two poem-cycles, one portraying Immanuel Mifsud's trip to Poland in 2002 and the other his trips to Slovakia (2003, 2004) were published in 2004 in a bi-lingual edition (Maltese/English) by Edizzjonijiet Emmadelezio.

The collection, Polska-Slovensko, was launched during the writers' dinner organised by the Royal Embassy of the Netherlands in Malta on 5th November, 2004.

Immanuel Mifsud writes his impressions of these two neighbouring countries which shared a similar Communist past and a similar present, both joining the European Union in 2004. While some of the poems are very personal, others 'narrate' milestones in the history of both countries, such as the holocaust in Poland, and the Slovak National Uprising.
